I would suggest looking at the Typesetting tutorials before starting your test.

Also, read the guidelines carefully. http://ieatsoul.com/manga-recruitment/typesetting-test-only/ All the details must be followed. For example, cloning out and redrawing text is a must for typesetters.

With that said, the Manga Team also suggest using Photoshop to typeset as it allows for you to Copy & Paste into the bubbles and mess with line height and all-caps.

i did check out the tutorials :P i'll have another look trough them

and ps is a nono as i expect to be doing most work on linux... which dosen't run photoshop

anyway, i'll retry when i get my manga reader to an acceptable state
