Okay so they have finally gotten to the point where Ichigo fights Aizen!

So any theories on what the training was? Why the increase in power? Why he shows no energy?

My theory on the third one is that because the hollow and shinigami energy is so blended together and because they are opposites that they negate others from sensing them because it's as though there is nothing.

I think that he bonded his body with his sword (if you look closely at his hand, he seems to have attached his sword to it) and as a result, he can put all his power into his sword so that noone else can sense it.

True, but we definitely know he has mixed energy somewhere in him. Since he defeated his hollow/sword.

Well, what I think is that after his training, Ichigo has become something not even Aizen can comprehend, which makes him unable to sense any reiatsu from him. It's the same way it was with Aizen against Isshin, Urahara and Yoruichi when Aizen was in his cocoon state. Isshin said that he can't feel Aizen's reaitsu and it was as though he wasn't there. This is the same. Ichigo is a TRUE hybrid, with potential like no other, and now that he has managed to perfectly balance his shinigami, hollow and human sides, he has ascended to even greater heights than Aizen.

Of course, Aizen will still have the advantage because of his experience, his hax shikai, probably an even more hax bankai as well as new powers/abilities he may have obtained after his transformation. But I still think Ichigo will win eventually. He has lost enough times as it is to Aizen, and the chapters are called Deicide, so...

Another interesting theory, is that suppressing and masking his reiatsu is because of his bankai. Maybe one of its powers or abilities.

I didn't like Aizen underestimating him like this though... He seems to not be as intelligent as he was... =\

:D like how you think. All that Aizen could do was to take the Hyougeko or whatever it's called and try to be a god. With out it... well let's just say that Aizen would suck balls.

Don't get me wrong. :P I used to LIKE Aizen as a villain, but lately (basically after his transformations)...not so much. Not only has his level of intelligence dropped, but his design is not impressive at all. I didn't mind the butterfly wings, and I thought that hollow eyes and long hair look good on him, but... what's up with the weird ass clothes?! Imagine the horror for Tatsuki, Keigo and co., being chased around by someone dressed as a white BANANA (http://www.mymangaspot.com/series/Bleach/413/11) who's able to disintegrate everything that comes near him. Kubo is an amazing artist, so I don't know how he managed to mess up Aizen's design like this.

And I wouldn't say Aizen without Hogyoku would suck balls...he'd still be stronger than EVERYONE except Yamamoto, and maybe Isshin and Urahara. And Yamamoto is thousands of years old. Also, his intellect is second only to Urahara. That's still pretty powerful...

Possessed you may be right about Ichigo's balancing. In that case we should see an amazing fight, because while Aizen is insane now and lets down his guard, Ichigo is calm and collected.

wait i have a question.. did the manga ever show that ichigo beat his inner hollow? cuz i don't remember seeing that happen. i just remember them fighting
and that led me to thinking...what if ichigo actually lost? oooh that'd be interesting

It never showed him winning, but if he lost wouldn't he be a hollow now? Aizen did mention that he may have lost and because of that had no spirit energy, but if that was the case Ichigo wouldn't have been able to push him so far.

Now that I think about it more, Aizen is even more of an idiot than I thought at first. Ichigo was standing right there with his bankai released, and he thinks he doesn't have any reiatsu. How would he release his bankai then? He wouldn't even be a shinigami anymore if he had no reiatsu.

But yes, the fight should be interesting. I don't have high hopes for the Final GT, but I'm looking forward to Aizen's bankai and Ichigo's hollowfication (if he still needs to hollowfy; it's possible that the power of his hollow is a part of him now after mastering his power).

The final battle will be epic, but does Aizen even have a Bankai? It's said you only need to defeat a Captain or have Bankai to be a Captain

That's true, there is a way for someone to become captain without having bankai, but I can't imagine why he wouldn't. Aizen is supposed to have reached the peak of shinigami strength; he mastered all 4 forms of shinigami combat. Zanpakuto, Kido, Hand-to hand and shunpo (not actual names, but that's basically what the 4 forms are). That includes bankai as well. And that's the reason he was interested in hollowfication and later tried to find a way to go beyond even that in the first place, because he realized that at some point, his growth in power would stop when he reached the limits of his potential as a shinigami, but his ambition wouldn't allow that. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that all Aizen's plans would be really pointless and hypocritical if he doesn't even have a bankai. Not to mention that even Ikkaku and Renji have one, so why wouldn't Aizen.

Btw, how do you think Ichigo will deal with Kyoka Suigetsu? I thought that Gin would tell him its weakness, but he didn't.... So, I don't know...
